Bridge Below the Belt by Larry Cohen and Liz Davis

This book combines a parody of a plush Florida bridge club with a wild story about an attempt by an unscrupulous bridge pro and his equally reprehensible partner to win the Blue Ribbon Pairs by gaining access to the hand records before the game. There is a Runyonesque cast of supporting characters and a number of good bridge hands, but this book is no threat to the masters of the genre: Victor Mollo with the Hideous Hog and Rueful Rabbit, or Don Von Elsner with Jake Winkman.
